Where I Close My Eyes
is a meditation on becoming and Paul Hill’s debut as an artist. The installation invites participants to resist inertia and reassess their alignment with personal fulfillment. Through an immersive spatial environment, the exhibition guides attendees through three pivotal stages that shape this transformation: releasing a version of oneself, finding cohesiveness between desire and security, and grounding oneself in newfound freedom through clarity.

The installation brings these internal stages into physical form. Architectural distortion, shifts in scale, and semi-transparent surfaces create a sense of emergence and submersion, translating the numinous beauty of meditation into physical form, and mirror the emotional experience of letting go, pausing, and rebuilding.

Where I Close My Eyes is both an autobiography and communion. It documents a personal transformation while opening a space for invitees to reflect on their own. The exhibition asks what becomes possible when we stop long enough to listen to ourselves and imagine a more honest and fulfilling path forward.

Copilot becomes a collaborator and an assistant that meets you where you are, offering gentle prompts and starter questions to help guide your meditations. Rather than directing your experience, it supports your goal, helping you move toward the version of yourself you aim to embody.
